Privacy Policy - Goalie Vision
Draft, not legal advice. This is a starting-point draft written to match the compliance approach in PRODUCT_SPEC.md. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be treated as final before any real launch, especially across multiple countries.

Privacy Policy

Who we are

Goalie Vision is a tool for recording, tagging, and analyzing goaltender performance in youth hockey. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Accounts are parent/guardian-owned

Only a parent or guardian may create an account. The goalie does not have their own login - their profile (age, gender, playing level, video, and stats) exists under the parent/guardian's account, which is the only party we treat as the data controller for that information.

What we collect

We deliberately collect birth year rather than a full date of birth, and gender is optional.

How long we keep it

Raw uploaded game video is deleted automatically after 45 days once its clips have been generated. The short clips themselves are kept until you delete them. You can request full deletion of your account's data at any time.

Who can see what

Your goalie's full profile, video, and stats are visible only to your account. The season-ranking feature compares your goalie's save percentage against other goalies in the same age band and playing level - that comparison shows first name and save percentage only, never video, email, or other account details.

No behavioral advertising

We do not run ads or use your data for ad targeting. Goalie Vision is supported by subscriptions, not advertising.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or full deletion at any time by contacting us. If you're in a jurisdiction with specific data rights (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, or similar laws elsewhere), those rights apply in full.
